Step By Step Install Linux 8 In Virtual Box

Step 1st: Install Oracle Linux from oracle e-delivery

Step 2nd: Open Virtual Box and click on NEW

Step 3rd:  Choose ISO image location to install setup,ISO and click the checkbox for unattended installation and click on Next

Step 4th: Allocate 4GB of memory and 2 CPUs, depends upon your system configuration

Step 5th: Allocate Size To Virtual Hard Disk

Step 6th: Verify Summary Report and click On Finish 

Step 7th:  Choose “Install Oracle Linux 8.8.0” and press Enter

 

Step 8th: Select Language

Step 9th: choose desired values for various options

9. (A)Click on root password option and set password for root

9. (B) Set Time zone

 

9. (C) Click on ‘+’ size and add network and hostname in the bottom

9. (D) Click on kdump and uncheck “Enable kdump”

Step 10th: Click on ‘+’ sign and create partition

NOTE A: Choose device type accordingly LVM/ Standard Partition/LVM THIN PROVISIONING

NOTE B: Once partition created click on DONE

 

Step 11th: Click on Accept Changes

Step12th: Click on Being Installation

NOTE: After we click on being installation, the installation process will start

Step13th: Click on reboot system

Step14th: Accept the license and click on finish configuration

 

Step15th: System is ready once the installation will be done
